How King’s Lunch Started
King’s Lunch began with a single product, a gummy worm. While developing the brand, we started thinking beyond just flavour and product… and into storytelling.
That led to a simple question.
If our first product is a worm… what naturally eats worms?
The answer was a bird.
Not just any bird though. Something everyone recognises, something that exists everywhere. In every city, every street and every environment.
A pigeon.
From that idea, our mascot was born. A symbol of everyday presence, adaptability, and recognition. Something simple, overlooked but always there.
What started as a creative direction quickly became the foundation of the brand. The pigeon evolved into a representation of King’s Lunch grounded, familiar, and constantly in people’s daily environment.
From there, we expanded beyond a single product into a wider range of items that people already know and enjoy building a brand around familiarity and consistency.
After the first gummy worm concept, we began developing products based on what customers naturally gravitated toward and frequently requested. This shaped King’s Lunch into more than a single idea it became a growing product ecosystem built around real demand and something a bit more interesting.
